Book bans are a form of discrimination—too often imposed in the name of religion—as bans strive to suppress the diversity of human experience and quiet the wisdom of history. Book bans aim to feed an atmosphere of exclusion and shame, highly contradictory to the inclusive love that Jesus taught us.
